Burn Fat Fast with This 30-Minute Treadmill Workout

Author: Crystal Tamaki, Certified Personal Trainer

Looking for a great fat-burning workout to do on a treadmill or your favorite cardio machine at home?

Look no further! This 30-minute treadmill or cardio workout will get your heart rate up and help you burn fat in no time.

One of the best HIIT interval treadmills on the market is the Freemotion T10.7 Reflex treadmill. This model was made popular by Orangetheory Fitness Gyms for its 1-step controls that rapidly jump to your desired speed or incline with the push of one button.

If you are using an elliptical, bike, or stairclimber, you can easily swap the MPH recommendations with levels of resistance or steps per minute.

Before you start the workout, make sure you warm up for at least 5 minutes.

Warm up

Start with a light jog at a pace of 4.5 mph and gradually increase the speed to 5 mph.

This warm-up will help you get your heart rate up and your body ready for the workout.

Once you’ve finished your warm-up, it’s time to get started on the intervals.

Intervals

The intervals will vary in speed and length, and each one will help you burn fat quickly and efficiently.

Interval 1: Increase the speed to 6 mph and run for one minute, then reduce the speed to 4.5 mph for one minute.

Repeat this interval for five minutes.

Interval 2: Increase the speed to 7 mph and run for one minute, then reduce the speed to 4.5 mph for one minute.

Repeat this interval for five minutes.

Interval 3: Increase the speed to 8 mph and run for one minute, then reduce the speed to 4.5 mph for one minute.

Repeat this interval for five minutes.

Interval 4: Increase the speed to 9 mph and run for one minute, then reduce the speed to 4.5 mph for one minute.

Repeat this interval for five minutes.

***After you’ve completed all four intervals, it’s time to cool down.

Cool Down

Gradually reduce the speed to 4 mph and finish with a light jog.

This cool-down will help your heart rate come back down to a normal level and help your body recover from the intense workout.

By following this 30-minute treadmill workout, you’ll be able to maximize your fat-burning potential and get the most out of your workouts.

So put on your running shoes, jump on the treadmill, and get ready to burn some fat!
